With some JDM style welds on it for the bends. Not sure where to get aluminum 45 deg small radious bends at.... Stainless no problem but aluminum.

Using the ebrake is a quick way to burn up $30+ dollar A SHOE parking brakes.
A better way would be to install a brake bias controller.

NA covers are kick ass when painted and done up nicely. They add a nice touch to the turbo engine.
As stated above, the only problem is have no place to mount the coil packs... if they did they would ruin the "Toyota Twin Cam 3000" writing on them.
Take off your lower IC rubber or hard pipe going from the turbo to IC.
If its filled with oil which I suspect it is, your turbo is fubar.
Another thing that will help in the future is to make sure the vents off the top of the cam covers DO NOT go into turbo inlet.

Looks like it was a gas fire.
The flames weren't hot enough to melt the coil packs (or so it appears), the intake plennum, or the TEMS caps.
Surely there is some stuff to salvage.
Tell him to go find a shell and do a transplant.
