Haha, hence why I have tint in the last... all but one car I've kept? :p
Phoenix is hell on interiors. Oddly enough at the altitude I'm at now, it is just as bad, even thought the ambient temp is nowhere near as hot. Note to self: tint the Mk2's windows before summer.
Do you have time to wait until you can upgrade the cooler itself? If so, I would suggest waiting until then. Cheaper (and a better use of your time) to do that. ;)
Empty a can of food. Put said can up to your ear and tap it with a fork or something. Now stuff said can with newspaper or cotton. Repeat the tapping.
Notice a difference? ;)
Said it best right here. The stock cooling system also includes many air dams meant to direct air to the best place it could go: through the radiator. Many people take these off for various, generally foolish reasons. Even stock it is quite capable, if it is all there and functioning properly. ;)
Sure thing man, glad you're enjoying them. :)
For what it's worth, the first time I tried to raise the height (to adjust to "Wyoming" roads haha), I actually lowered the front even more. Was tucking on 275's, and still had room to go lower. I wouldn't be surprised if you could damn near set the...
To say they were ahead of their time is a bit of an understatement. About the only thing I appreciate on my parent's ~$50k+ newer Chevy diesel that my car never had the option for is adjustable pedals. How much easier would heel/toe driving be if you could adjust where your gas and brake pedals...
Bwahaha, glad I'm not the only one who thought to do that.
Speaking of which, Clint... I'm pretty sure I still owe you and the missus a turkey baster.
Comparing apples and cucumbers here aren't we? I thought the 240 had a completely different suspension type up front?
Either way, thanks for clearing up the geometry question. :)
C4 Corvette had one at the time. You know what it also had? A chassis about as stiff as a noodle. If you jacked up the car with said roof in place, you'd break the targa panel because the car wanted to fold in on itself. :nono:
C5 Corvette also had a glass targa option, but I'm pretty sure they...
Mike, if you are planning on replacing the setup next year, why not save the money now and do it how you want sooner than later? Given that any money spent on a turbo upgrade now would keep you from that goal... it's what I would do. Remember, having a solid plan will save you a lot of time and...
Anyone else irritated that the plugs aren't just a little bit longer? How the hell is one supposed to get these things plugged back in easily? :p
Inbeforeoneofthegrumpssays"don'tunplugitinthefirstplace".
Rather a fan of the Greddy knob that came with my car. Wanna talk weighted? I dropped mine once, there were reports of minor earthquakes...
...not really, but it did chip out a nice chunk of concrete from the sidewalk. :p
Only problem, it's pretty much solid steel (other than the hole in the...
$9900 at the end of the auction it seems. What's funny, I can almost swear a friend of mine (he has a knack for finding crazy clean 80's/90's Japanese sports cars) almost bought this very car after selling his immaculate 89 240sx...
Hope the new owner takes care of her. :)
Sorry to hear this bud, I still remember the first time my 88 was hit, my stomach about sank to my ankles. Was enjoying an otherwise great evening with friends at Village Inn, texting the girl I was with at the time, and my ears perked up when I heard the staff mention, "I wonder who's Toyota...
That is the color I've had my heart set on for a long while now. Color code 6L9 I believe.
If anyone wanted to see what purple-blue-black looks like, here ya go, my car:
No worries man, I have enough CF parts I could probably build a plane at this point. :p
Same here man, but I honestly can't think of anything that I'd really want in carbon at this point... which is a good thing I think. :)
I've kinda noticed that too. Hopefully they move a bit up market as a...
2005-ish Corolla had a similar wheel, you won't pay an arm/leg for it, and they're common as all hell. Airbag compatibility I have no idea on (and really after being hit with one a decade ago, I have no desire to meet one again haha), but the horn part is fairly easy. Should just be a one wire...
