you can safely do around 500whp on MKIV 550's. Make sure you have 550's, some are 440s in the same inpedance. You should be around -33% correction at idle with the 550's with a stock ecu. With megasquirt, im not sure. It "should" do around 450-480whp on pump gas with that turbo...

Turbo's like Precisions have different wheel trims and designs for gasoline engines. It's why my 65mm can have full spool at 4k rpms on a 1jz. I 100% agree. Why swap in a 1JZ, bolt off the twins, and upgrade to single, to a crappy cheap one? Seems like a waste of time to me. Totally...

1jz's run hot oil temps, but only way to fix that is a oil cooler. I run on my pillar pod Boost and Water temp. Check out prosport gauges

All the stock gauge is good for is telling you that you warmed your engine up when its cold on initial startup, and when your overheating.

You can build a 1000whp 1jz using proven off the shelf parts that everyone else in the JZ world uses to make 1000+ whp. No expermental parts needed to push the limits beyond what everyone is stuck on (500whp).
