Harbor Freight has a heat gun made by Chicago or something like that. It's like $10. Totally worth the money compared to a Milwaukee for like $139...

Just pick up a voltmeter if you want to do it correctly. You can get cheap ones that will work fine. Don't expect them to last 10 years, but it'll definitely work for what you want to do.

Do this: Go get some 3" aluminum solid square stock. Have them cut two 3" pieces for you.
Bring to a drill press and bore out a hole in the middle
Slide bolt through bracket, mount, and subframe.
Attach nut with lockwasher and loctite.
Enjoy.
