Keep researching Jay. Every transmission can bolt up to any engine with the right bellhousing. ;) A V160 (MKIV Getrag 6spd) will bolt up to a 1JZ, so you're in luck. The 7M community is not. lol There are other complications however. The MKIV's shifter linkage is roughly 6" further back...

Yep, I made that mistake once before, went to start my car to move it and no go. Forgot that I had unbolted the igniter from the fender skirt. Bolted it back on, and it fired up without a hitch.
