I was looking for the engine drain as well. Is it the bold just above the heatshield (accessible from the top) ? or somewhere accessible underneath? The TSRM has sort of a vague illustration, and I can't quite tell if the one I can see from above is the correct one - any advice would be...

Sorry, this is pretty bad. Could do better if you gave me a picture of something metallic in a similar lighting situation. A silver car would be best, as the metallic actually looks more matte when the sun hits it.

Well, it sounds like that ebay seller says he converted the tranny. The question I have is: why didn't he use the shorter shifter? Hopefully somebody here will buy it and report on it (so I don't have to waste my money :biglaugh: )

We will probably get more/better input if it is associated officially with SM. I think if we can do this right, it could really enhance the the value of the site. I was planning on making these static pages for maximum compatibility, but let me know if anybody else has suggestions.

I am actually in the process of taking off my head, so I can try to grab some pictures of the individual components I have taken off. The previous owner ruined all the paint in the engine bay, so my car is not a good sample for the overall pics.

Yes, the desire for visual navigation in addition to a text index was understood. Whenever we get the engine bay pics, they should be posted in this thread. This way, when people submit the component write-up they can circle what they're talking about in ms paint(in case I don't know)...
