Tell me more about GMC Typhoon...

I see what you're suggesting... Heh, could be interesting to build one of those up, surprise a few people in inclement weather situations haha. As for the Typhoon, for its time, I'm sure they were quite impressive. Your average GM v8 back then was what, around 220hp? 275hp-300hp if the LT1 was...

    Purchased extended harness need insight!

If JZX Project is still around, I would be willing to bet someone on there could help you with the Cressida info. :) Failing that, I know we have a few people on here who can point you to a good source...

    Spotted: Homer Simpson on Craigslist

I wouldn't worry about jacking a thread about Hommer's car... can't post anything in here that is more of a joke than the car itself, right? :p

What is the RAREST MKIII Supra?

Jeff Lange could probably provide that information. I have a book with total production numbers, but I believe it only covers the model itself, not what options they had. Still hard to believe there were so many of those though, perhaps you had a Toyota dealer whose owner LOVED the Supra, and...

Driveshaft Decision. I'm torn. Advice from experienced?

Huh... that is a new design then. The 4th gen cars had a one piece, but it was quite short, not to mention thick. I wanna say it was a 3.5" from the factory in my SS... That really is something. I'm still quite content with a "dumb" phone, but that is pretty badass.

    lsx swap???

Dude... care to post some pictures in the "Other Cars" section of the forum? Please...? I would love to do this for my Chevy, but I want to try to get this thing running and not snowball on me like the Supra did haha... so, an LS might be out of the budget. I dunno yet. Heh, even ignoring all...

    shitty mpg

Heh, all depends on how you drive for the most part. I can WATCH my gas gauge in real time if I'm up in the mountain/canyon roads, probably get around 8-12mpg driving like that. Or, if I baby it on the highway, I fully believe that I could achieve just over 30mpg. My old NA actually would have...

Is an Mkiii the right car for me?

In my experience, there are three major factors that play into most insurance policies: -Theft rate -Likelyhood of this car to be crashed by the driver -Likelyhood of this car to cause massive amounts of damage when an accident does happen Ironically enough, the insurance on my Mk3 when...

.25 amp parasitic draw through dome fuse

I've had a few Pioneer units over the years, always been very happy with them for the most part. I think I have an Alpine in the MkII, and for as basic as it is, it is actually pretty versatile. :)

    Rarity of 042 Paint?

You post a thread like this without any pictures? This fuckin' guy... :p I think a buddy of mine might have this on his car actually... I'll have to check his firewall plate to find out for sure.

I was bored one sunday, then this happened. ( SUBWOOFERS in an MK3) Pics!!

Holy crap man... I've seen some pretty excessive setups, but I'm surprised that fits, height wise... Little bit much for my needs/taste, but a little bit of extra oomph is always nice. Should post this in the "show us your trunks!" thread in this section. ;)

If nothing else, Dr Tweak does good work, and could probably help troubleshoot yours if it is something minor.

BCL GT wings for MKIII interest thread.

I'll probably run the rear a bit higher than it sits now. It is mostly level front to rear now, so a bit more height in the back should help nip the understeer as well as settle camber where it needs to be. :)

    MKIII Supra Spoilers?

Lonnie, that would be from an early Z31, 84-85 had them IIRC. Only thing is, I believe they were functional on those cars. Not to be a downer, but not sure what it would do where yours is positioned... maybe allow some cool air in to get some of the exhaust heat away from the engine and out the...

Driveshaft Decision. I'm torn. Advice from experienced?

You know, like the v6 Mustangs... speed limited to 155 because their driveshafts have a nasty tendency of breaking around the 138mph barrier. ;) I believe the carbon has a higher threshold for critical speeds (lighter weight playing the biggest factor I'm guessing), so you would be able to get...
