Much cheaper? Yeah, you could buy a used transmission if you want and risk of having to take it apart after a year or you can get a good new trans that was built for power and not worry. Always do a little over kill is what I say. ;)

Engine is totally different on how it's judged (at least at shows anyway) You can't just go by looks. Of course the details and workmanship is counted for an engine.
