I have the sogi mod, but just cut the threaded section off the original part that you take off for the sogi, and cut an equal length off the the bottom part that becomes the new shifter... welded the threads on, and BAM! I can use any shift knob you would be able to with a stock one.

yes, but all the reviews on the gnx3 say that the sound is wonderful with absolutely no interference. It also allows you to record what you play. I would much prefer that to recording via microphone. Jon

Im no "pro" either, but the extent of my effects at the moment, are limited to the reverb and overdrive on my amp... which dont cut it at all! just out of curiosity, what type of equipment do you have in your "full set up" ?
