i too recall hearing the JDM EGR area is blocked off as it does not need it.

my bet is the rack bro...its not always that the rack clanks..just a couple times. its hard to explain...i wish i had like a video or something.

mine clanks because the whole entire boot is now off...and has been that way since before i bought the car...no oil in the boot any longer = snap snap snap SNAP CLANK! it kinda sounds like a stressing bridge or metal support right?

my steering rack clanks really loudly when i turn when im getting out of a parking space something (thats my example) like its a LOUD CLANK and i know its my steering rack cause the boot is shredded ;) but that might be your issue.

that is a badass fix hahaha! its alum too so it runs nice and cold perfect for an IC pipe :O but this coffee mod was fairly done well hardly a jagged edge..it was definitely not hack and slash...props to the previous owner (some really old dude).

i had a problem like you did..where both my box and my switch were out...i just took the box out and wired around it...and replaced the switch... maybe you could give the wiring a try??

yes sir you were correct! hahaha im actually planning on pulling both the engine and the trans at the same time since i gotta do seal work anyways ;) it'll be loads easier to do with the tools i got. (having no lift sucks hahaha)

i do have a drive plate that i bought off someone else...did you weld those two plates together?

hmm! ok, ok i see what you did there...where do you recommend i get longer bolts? hardware store? sorry if i seem to ask lots of questions i have never even heard of a flexplate till i got this car ;) also whats that thing in the middle of the second picture's flexplate?

interesting, is there anyway i can prevent cracked plates from happening a second time? im probably going to keep this auto for a little while (a year or so till i can get money for a 5 speed) i know that flexplate isnt exactly made of titanium or anything ;)
