If you looked to the side for 1 second and crashed into the person in front of you, then you were following way too close. You crashed into a SUZUKI ARIEO, it was like hitting a tin can with a brick because thats what it was. Just remember, bricks shatter once you hit them against something tougher.
Good point on the headliner... I forgot it has to go underneath the sides. If it comes down to that though, I would happily trim some headliner off if the sides were built in.
NASCAR is a bunch of fabricated garbage designed to entertain the same people who like stick and ball sports. Note "real racing"... I don't qualify NASCAR as real racing.
IIRC the rumor is that targa cars have a stiffer chassis underneath then hard tops. With the roof on, theoretically it could be stiffer than a hard top.
The front and rear are not changing all that much with the roof removed, it's the twisting in the middle that makes it feel "soft". The best...
I love real racing, in fact I make my living in it. I just can't stand any sport where you get 5 seconds of action, then 2 minutes of standing around like just about any American stick and ball sport has. Not to mention the seemingly complete lack of an IQ that runs rampant in the players...
In our specific application they do next to nothing, and the bang for the buck factor is non-existent.
For other, more poorly designed cars, they can help more.
Yea, after you posted those other pictures of things he's done it doesn't seem out of his capability. I would be ecstatic if it could be done like that, and this thing actually gets made.
Well, there is the metal bit: 63201A
And the side bits: 63217F, 63218F
And the seal: 62383C, 62384C
I want the side bits mounted to the metal bit when the mold is made, and then of course the seal will go straight on to the carbon instead of the side bit.
Hope that clarifies it.
