Got my $300 supra running, misses with load, CEL 51 & 52

Battery is new, just bought day before yesterday, and it tests fine too. I accidently pulled a black wire with a blueish stripe on it off the starter, it's ~12 gauge in width... gotta figure that out first, then to the other many issues.

Got my $300 supra running, misses with load, CEL 51 & 52

Today I put some 93* in the tank and tried to start the car. It started but wouldn't rev without dying, after 2 more starts like this all it does is sputter, almost start and die out. It was starting up and running every time yesterday but now won't. I am guessing that the sock on the new...

    dropping the gas tank

After removing the access cover in the hatch and unplugging the two wiring harnesses, I just popped the drain plug and let all the gas out into a cooler (too much gas for my drain pan) then used the convienient spigot on the bottom of the cooler to drain into a gas can. After the fumes went away...

Got my $300 supra running, misses with load, CEL 51 & 52

OK, car is an '87 N/A Auto, been sitting for a year with minimal, if any running and no driving. I bought it with a dead fuel pump as a "project" and just got my pump in yesterday. I turn the key on and let the pump pressurize and after a few seconds I crank it and to my surprise it starts...

My NA got called out by a geo metro...

My NA got called out by a geo metro...

It's more than kinda sad (were it true), a 1L 3 cylinder 55hp econobox beating a sports car with a 3L I6 and 200 hp, is IMO pitiful, I don't care, heavier or not. If this thread weren't some sort of inside joke, it would permanently change my opinion about MKIIIs for the worst. I mean honestly...
