On this car, it was probably the dirtiest job I ever done on ANY car. There was so much dirt, grime, oil, and grease under and around the rack, it would have taken me days to clean. (at one point I wanted to junk the car  )
for the actual rack swap it was pretty easy. I bought new...
Awesome, thanks man. I'm probably gonna do the same, just remove the existing hoses and take them to PepBoys or something. I'm gonna read up on the Driftmotion line, as I know high-psi PS hoses have to be assembled a certain way. I think I will remove and inspect all my lines before I...
So I am looking at revamping all the lines that could possibly leak on my aged PS system. Im trying to do all this before the weather takes a turn for the colder.
I already replaced a leaking right steering racks seal/boot with a rebuilt rack.
I am planning to purchase the Driftmotion...
How does one said insurance company blame your swapped motor for causing an accident? Does it matter what engine was in your car that made it drive 100mph? Doesn't a 7MGE, 7MGTE, 2JZGTE motor all attain similar speeds? Sounds like a typical insurance company giving you the short end of the...
check your O2 sensor setup.... if you are running the 2JZ ecu, you need the O2 sensor to trim the fuel under boost. I had that problem a few years ago. new O2 sensor helped me out a lot.
Wouldn't you know it..... the parts showed up today! so my order took a little over 2 weeks. At least I got it, and I can button up the shifter and center console now! Thanks for the feedback guys. at least others will know the delivery time varies but the parts get there.
Hey I was just wondering if it is typical to not hear from these guys? I ordered some shifter bushings and misc parts about 2 weeks ago, and I have not yet received a shipping note or even an email reply to my inquiries?
Is this how they operate? I'll just call them on Monday i guess...
Well said. It's a Supra, treat it as such. I have seen some stellar rebuilds here. I wish more people did that, than the ball and twine thing you referenced earlier.
Well I know I fixed the dome light recently, I jumpered a ground to another one internal to the dome light so Im going to undo that and test. It's the only change that I made related to your suggestion that could be causing it.
The door switches work because if i manually push them in, the...
Whatever.... I was kidding as I appreciate all well built cars. but you can have a bowl of above mentioned Corn Flakes... Mmmmm bet you'll like it
I noticed you had your upper control arm ball joints replaced. Do you have any details on this? As I was told the part was not serviceable here in the US. Any insight that could help me change them out would be great!
Great restoration!!! I read the entire 15 pages!
How does the shift boot attach to the underside of the center console trim? Is there a bracket or removeable trim ring that can hold it in place? Sorry for the question, but I have an AUTO center console, so I need to retro fit a shift boot now.
I just installed a w58 on my GTE. I will update you guys in a few weeks. I dont forsee any issues as the motor is basically stock and the clutch is an OEM replacement.
