I've got a set of HKS aluminum IC pipes sitting in my office at home that I have not put on because the PVC works soooooo well and like John said they run cooler than metal and we all know or should know that a cooler intake charge resists detonation, sometimes cheapest is best
I've had them for 1-1/2 years and love them, yes I used a 2" metal long radius conduit on the lower. They haven't melted down or popped off ever and the improvement over stock was impressive, and I'm at about 400hp. Personally I'd rather spend money on differant mods than fancy looking IC piping.
I ran similar to that for quite some time except I ran a solenoid valve that switched from stock boost to mbc, I suppose you could do the same thing with two mbc valves
just make sure you know the whole story, there might be other things or illegallities that happened while he was in possesion nobody has mentioned to you that you might have to pay for, always sign the title over at the license bureau
Hey that idea makes lots of sense cause when I had my 300zx I got a load of bad gas and it started but ran like crap and made it about a block and quit, wouldn't run at all, luckly exxon paid for the dealer to completely sort it
