Nice car, that interior looks great from the pics! And some fresh-ish paint? Looks great, needs 5-speed lol....
I wonder if he will reveal the price for us...not that it matters, I am just curious if his deal was as good as mine!! haha.
the problem would just get worse and worse..if your going to spend the time re-adjusting the height of the door, why not swap the hinges? I know its a PITA, and I know I wouldn't want to tackle it right now lol...
My 1jz averages between 16-21mpg from city-highway mixed driving...I've been pretty surprised too, seems real good for a twin turbo.
I am in school, and driving is a minimal here, until I drive home...thats when I have to hit the pumps hard. $50+ fill-ups are tough when your only getting a max...
You can get a 1jz swap for half as much as a 2jz, and have just about the same amount of power...and I love the parallel turbo setup as opposed to the sequential BS on the 2j's..unless you are going to go single soon of course.
So for fitment, price, and get-what-u-pay-for logic, I would always...
I was going to try the conversion on my 88...had the 89+ corners and a spare grill to use for the extra space, but realized that you have to modify how the upper bumper cover mounts to the frame, because the mounting bracket is in the way of the newer style corners.
There is also no where...
I had an exhaust shop finish up mine on my 1jz after I bought the car.
When I got it, it had a 7mgte "custom" stock downpipe flanged to the 1jz y-pipe, through a test pipe, and out an HKS super dragger cat-back exhaust. It sounded really good, and not too loud, but I didn't want to find out...
Here are mine:
My blue '88 needs some paint on the bumper, and the white one needs a lot more than just paint! lol. No fogs or grill, and a droopey, star-cracked upper bumper cover just for starts.
I still can't decide if I like the pre or post '89 bumpers better. I like the blunt nose...
Japan of course, lol...I bought these off of someone here on SM. If you buy them, make sure you get the computer and switch with it too, and it can get pricey.
Well I got the harness made, minus wiring in the 2 fuses, and the connector plugs that are still wired in the car from the first try lol.
To keep track of everything, I tagged both ends of each wire with it's own letter from A-R (not including the LG-R wire split), and mapped out the...
wow, that interior is beat...not even gonna mention the shift knob again, but that console cover is too much...and where is the rest of the interior??
the non-matching rims are nice, and pretty gay colors under the hood too...
its a shame that this one isn't in better shape, I would love a RHD...
I want to see a video of this thing running, I'm sure it sounds ridiculously nice when it spools/winds up!! Thats a pretty crazy setup, looks very professional, nice job!
