So is it possible to plug the distributor hole and install cam sensors? Are they already machined into the head and plugged or what is required to install?
That is my main question, the ffim is no problem either, I own a fab shop so the manifolds will be made by me:naughty:
I am looking into building a 2jz for my supra. I currently have a 1jz running on a aem ems. The bearings are starting to go in the 1j and I decided instead of pulling it and fixing it I am going to buy a 2jzge long block and build it
I'm wondering the differences in the heads
1. Are there...
Hey so I finally got my 1j running right and took it out for its mayden voyage
So anyways on the way back I blew out my front main seal:nono:
I got it into the shop and pulled it apart. and you all know how it goes, the "well while I'm there" thingy led to me dropping my subframe to do...
Well at 3k I have around 45-50psi. above that it increases steadily to about 70psi or so.
Di Rosa, I figure since I am pulling the pump anyway's I'll pull it apart and check it. I am using a prosport guage and I know it is reading accurately because I checked it against a good known...
Hey I am planning on shimming my oil pump while I have the front of the motor apart for a timing belt anyways. I searched for a while and came up with no info on how to do it.
I bassically wanted to know how big of a shim do you all use and is there any threads you could point me too with some...
Yeah its understandable though because most people driving those already have issues with the size of their nuts, so when a little 80's "ricer" comes along and creams them and the mighty V-10 they have to retaliate somehow...
Ya I was messing around with it today and it actually runs better with coils 2 and 3 unplugged than with all of them plugged in.
O well figured it was worth a shot.
I would tend to think not as a cast manifold is rougher inside and also isn't going to have as equal runner length.
Also backpressure isn't a good thing on a turbocharged car, I would think that the i.d of the manifold and the angle the exhaust exited the cylinder would make the biggest change...
Well I decided to swap out my stock coils for a set of msd coils I swiped off a junk yard mustang,(basically new) Anyways I wired them in tonight and went to start up the car and had NOTHING...
I haven't checked for spark yet but will tomorrow, I don't know what could have done wrong.

Hey I installed a oil filter relocation kit along with a b&m oil cooler and a mocal thermostat on my car. I noticed now when the thermostat opens at idle my oil pressure is around 10 psi compared to about 15 or 16 before and at 3000 rpm I have about 50 psi compared to about 75 or so before. Is...
ok I was just thinking, you said it didn't happen until you installed the afpr and a lot of people delete the fpd at the same time.
How is your fuel filter? Last time you changed it?
