Do you already have a SAFC? If so you can keep it, but I would just sell it and get the whole Maft kit and tune it on a dyno and log it with a wideband.
If you have stock suspension you will be perfectly fine. I used to run 245's upfront on mine and I still do on my new wheels. I didn't want anything wider.
Get the Maft Pro, it's just a piggy back that gets rid of the AFM and makes your car a Map Based car and you get rid of a bunch of stuff. I'm thinking about going this route if I go FFIM. For now I get minimal lag and my setup runs pretty good for a daily driver.
I have a TO4E 60-1 no install issues at all. Also if you go FFIM I would get away from the AFM because it is something that will hinder your performance and the way you wire up your system. Go with a VPC or Maft pro system and you'll be better off.
Like MKIIINA said, 3" is really hard to fit and get right especially with stock routing. I just tried it and gave up because it was a PITA and requires lots of cutting in the firewalls. Just go 2.5" all the way from turbo to TB and you'll be just fine.
There was a thread that Doward or some...
I live here in TX and drive my car daily in TX heat and TX traffic and I seem to do Just fine with my A2A IC. I do have a koyo rad and good clutch fan with it as well. It doesn't get hot even driving for hours. But good luck with your setup.
Just for reference I have a Lex and 660's and my car runs really rich, but I a HKS SAFR, forged pistons, FMIC (stock routing), No need for a FFIM, at my power level (yet) but I have made 407rwhp and 408rwtq with boss turbo on pump gas. With 25 psi and some race gas, it should be close to...
So are BigZavs and I and as well as many other members. You should look at dfwmkiv.com that is our local site where we have meets and such. Most of our cars are stock (JK) but we would love to have you. I live in NRH, and work in FT worth so pretty close.
All those specs seem more like a Drag car, twin GT30 turbos are going to produce atleast 600rwhp and twin GT35 would get you in the high 900's. People are doing 5-600rwhp on a single GT35. There is a guy here locally that has a twin set up with the Greddy manifold, tial bov and wastegate, GT28...
Some of you read my thread about my welded clutch and flywheel. While this was being sent out to get fixed, I sold my HKS IC kit and got a bigger setup with the help of a local guy that I have dealt with for a while. The only money out of pocket was for shipping everything off to South Bend to...
Just looked at some of his posts and he seemed like a nice kid. He will look down over you and will always be there for you. Have a great peace of mind knowing he is in a better place. I know God took him early but he had a reason. Just keep his spirit alive and you will never forget him...
Hey guys, I've searched and I can't find the thread where you guys were talking about numbers with a SP61 turbo or boss turbo.
I'm doing 2.5" lowers, from the turbo to the IC and was thinking about doing the uppers in 3", however it is a pain in the ass trying to route that stuff. I think that...
Well the clutch that I'm replacing would hold 540ftlbs of tq, the new one will hold a little bit more but also be a full face disk with 8 pucks on it. The clutch will still feel like stock though. I'm not getting and will never get another RPS clutch. They are not worth the money and...
To raise the redline you need to get a Standalone or re map your stock ECU, that is the only way that I know of to raise it.
If you raise it to 7k rpms you should be fine on the stock valve train. Some 264 cams would help keep the power to 7k as well.
The RPS MAX Pressure Plate is what he is talking about. The plate is a 3200lbs pressure plate so it makes the motor work harder at start up. Once you press the clutch in you are putting more pressure on the crank, and with a cold start up your oil is thicker and it actually doesn't get to the...
I have had the South Bend clutch for 2 years now. all that I was stating was I had the RPS Max PP and never had a problem with it. I believe it's just because of the full face Feramic disk.
With the new 8 puck ceramic/kevlar do you think that I'm going to weld that?? I had the RPS 6 puck...
