    Knocking sound at idle

The sound could be anything. From an exhaust leak, to loud alternator bearings or a blown engine. Buy a mechanics stethoscope for about 10 bucks, and track it down. The crystal ball of sound analysis, doesn't work too well over the internet.

hey i need a torque wrench wil this do?

You can have a torque wrench precise enough to 0.00001 micro inches, but it doesn't matter that much. It's the fit between the threads of the fastener that matters most, since the whole premise of torquing things down is based on it. Buy a half decent torque wrench, and buy a set of quality...

    Maft Q's

No, not really. Arguing with retards on the internet is like, well like waste of time and stuff. Even if you win, you still wasted all your time.

    I need a new AFM

I should have a spare AFM module around. Where exactly are you? The AFM is hard to test. The TSRM specs never seem to work. Best way is to use a frequency tester (most better voltmeters have them built in). What error code did you get when the CEL came on?

    I need a new AFM

Any trouble codes? The ECU is pretty good in knowing when the AFM is fried, and will give you a code. If there is no power getting to the sensor, than obviously the sensor isn't the problem, the wiring is.

    A/F Guage wiring?

In your little diagnostic connector by the battery, there is an "O2" terminal. It directly connects to the O2 sensor. You can splice it in there, quite easily without butchering any wires.

    Maft Q's

Grim's got it covered. But for the record. Stock "vortex" AFM meter: -Reads only the speed of air. -Needs separate pressue and temperature sensors to allow the ECU to calculate air mass. MAF (mass air flow meter): -Reads air mass directly. -Doesn't need pressure and...

how to figure out size of injectors needed?

Tons of injector sizing calculators online. Try a few. But people usually use injectors to get around fuel cut, rather than just for getting the extra fuel. http://www.witchhunter.com/injectorcalc1.htm

    how much nitrous?

The engine has no idea you're running nitrous, turbo, supercharger or whatever. All it sees is how much air/fuel you burn. As far as how much? Depends on your setup, and how well you mix and distribute the nitrous and fuel. But whatever you do, your safety of margin is getting smaller and...

    is global warming real?

Global weather *change* is indeed real. Nobody is disputing that. We can actually see millions of years into the past of our weather, by sampling snow and ground cores. However where people get all hot and bothered is the question "are we causing it" or is something else at play here. Lots of...

    PVC Accordian Hose?

Goop it up with RTV sealant, it works great since the air is only sucking in there. New unit is like only 40 bucks anyway, from your local Toyota dealer (ask for a 89+ unit). Probably cheaper than figuring out why your piston rings blew out, and why there is all that dirt in your intake if it is...

    Maft wiring along with SAFC

You'll have the same issue regardless of what you use. Scaling just the AFM input, like Lex, SAFC, PHR, Maft etc. do, you'll still be relying on the ECU to learn on the fly. Just tune a bit rich, and don't worry about it. :)

    Maft wiring along with SAFC

I don't think there is a easy "solution" available, since the problem isn't the MAFT, but the stock 89+ ECU, just like with any other piggy-back. The way people seem to deal with it, is to ignore it althogether, and pretend it's not an issue. The stock ECU seems smart enough to cope with it though.

    Maft wiring along with SAFC

Treat the Maft exactly as a stock AFM. Wire accordingly. :)

    flywheel = harmonic damper??

Exactly. It's not just about putting weight on the crank, it's about having a flexible material between the crank and the heavy dampener ring. The weight resists the vibration through inertia, and the flexible rubber allows for movement to be dissipated as heat. Since the flywheel is just...

    Does karma work?

Karma is mental masturbation. It makes you feel good believing in it, when you get fucked over. Lots of bad people live very happy long lives, and lots of good people suffer horrendously for no reason at all. There is no magic force that keeps track of all this crap, unless you believe in...
