the only number i see on my dash boost gauge is 8+ at the very top. and my boost never gets that high, i'm still all stock. i'm only 6PSI when it hits but it then settles to 5PSI.
how much PSI is stock boost? with out any modifications to the turbo system? i'm just wondering, i dont have a boost gauge that shows PSI yet, just the in-dash one that only has marks.
this way seems much easier than doing it the the way that the TSRM says. but, if the the code doesnt go away with either the two way to adjust the TPS, that would mean i have a bad TPS?
i just took my car for a test drive after adjusting the timing and what a difference that was! it pulls so much stronger. i'm wondering how much better it will feel once i get this code 51 fixed and cleared.
i just finished adjusting my idle to 10deg. the previouse owner had it all jacked up. so now my idle is steady at 1000rpm. if i changed out or adjusted the TPS would my idle drop to normal rpm?
whats a comon fix for a Code 51? the TSRM says this:
Switch Signal
-Diagnosis
No "IDL" signal, "NSW" signal or "A/C" signal to ECU, during diagnosis check.
-Trouble Area
A/C switch circuit
A/C switch
A/C amplifier
Throttle position sensor circuit
Throttle position sensor...
i'de get a clutch that will last you pretty much the life of the car and handle anything you throw at it and be down with it. like a tripple plate or something.
i dont live there anymore. i wish i was, though. i just got transfered to Kirtland AFB, NM in December 05'. it would have been cool to chill if i did have the supra whille i was there but i picked it up right as i got here to Kirtland AFB. i never was on cowtown but went through it one time...
