thanks for the advice but my cousin car has a little rust too, well bubbling of the paint around the wheel wells and along the edge of the upper windshield. Both cars were Ny cars but the rust on the non runnin one is alot more around on the wheel wells and theres non along the outdoor trim...

oh i can relate to you on your mk2 dieing from cancer. that is why i started this thread is too see whether or not i should take my engine and trans and put it into a mk2 shell that i found or by this n/a mk3 with a blown motor
