I got my first Supra in South Florida in March, 2001 and have owned 2 other Florida cars, all had some rust.

Um, what? I like how people think Florida cars are rust free. It is a peninsula surrounded by salt water on both sides. If the car has spent any considerable time on either coast, it may easily have rust.

The rust that you see didn't just happen, it was corrosion caused by a battery leak or explosion, whatever. The rest of the car is in very good condition in terms of rust, it was just this one area. Thanks previous owner/idiot!

Well, the front end of my car is all taken apart as of tonight. She's up on jackstands, no fenders, no bumper, no headlights, header panel, etc. Tomorrow I'll start working on taking stuff out of the engine bay in preparation for some major surgery. Sorry no pix of the raping tonight.
