yea that guage was mechanical. thats my old car, sold a few months ago. you could try longer screws. hopefully there is something down there for em to grab, or you could spend a day, pull the dash, and use nuts on the scres to hold it on there. thats part of why i changed my mind from mounting...

i just tossed mine in front of the lame-o stocker. i dont see why it wouldnt work on top of the dash, as long as the mounting screws can get a good grab on something a little more solid below the vinyl.

i try to look at like i got more money to spend elsewhere by being single. yes it does suck but like loki said you learn to cope, or hide at the bottom of a bottle :hsugh: :icon_cry:
