Check to see if your pressure plate is tight on the flywheel. Also a loose harmonic balancer that was incorrectly installed can also simulate the sound of rod knock at the back of the engine..hth
If it's NA you'll have to live with it, as you're at your peak.Do not rebuild your engine around your exhaust..When you swap to turbo, change it then.My hho( honest opinion) is change it!! HTH

Well looking at the two sensors on the harness I have, I can confirm the numbers on the one as 89420-14020, the tag on the other sensor the numbers are worn out and I can't make them out.

Glad to here the new starter did the job. First thing I would have done was what Anh suggested though, and check grounds and clean all other connections first thing..
Tim, can you post or send me some pics of your set up? I'm curious about this aswell as I'll be doing the same thing shortly. My harness is supposed to be complete. Maybe I can compare it to what I have and possibly help figure it out.
You should cut the fronts the same as the rears to keep the correct profile. Low in the rear is good if you're not planning on a high speed front end float show..
