It will be a few months, at the very least, before my car starts coming together. I am making good progress on it (parts gathering wise), but not real sure how long the body is going to take. Kinda doing a mini-restoration of sorts on it, so it will take some time. Will definitely post pictures...

Correct. They're pretty useful when you need to pull yourself into the hatch, or strap something down to, since our cars don't have the cargo area tie downs like the Mk1/2 did. Front strut tower (kinda a misnomer since we don't have struts) bar serves to rest your hand on when you're leaning...

As always, the TSRM is quite handy in cases like this. Exploded views tend to point out parts that cannot be re-used, with a little diamond beside the part number if I remember correctly.
