So I wound up on the operating table today

wasnt saying it was a bite, just that it looked like one. if it were a bite it would not have improved with antibiotics. although it would not even show for a few days if it was. i didn't know i had been bitten till i was in the shower a few days later, i had a itch that woulden't stop on...

reminds me of my brown recluse bite. but you are way to far north for them.... maybe a wolf spider bite, similar but not as bad. suprised that the first doc didnt lance that thing open before giving antibiotics

    Minnesota Supra Meet! 5/15/10

dan, i believe it was rob's burnout that covered you with rubber:burnout: it was a great time, still cant believe the trans is working now, went from not shifting properly and slipping to running perfectly. thought i was gonna have to trailer it home for a while there. still gonna swap it as...

    ARP head bolt tool????

dont know where you are getting your info , but i am right. do a little experiment. with a good torque wrench tighten a bolt to 100 ft-lb with a 12 " extension, then check it with the same setting on the same wrench without the extension. you will have to tighten it up at least a 1/8 of a turn...

    ARP head bolt tool????

incorrect! the torque wrench measures torque at the head of the wrench, the twisting of the extension will effect final torque as it twists exponentially and applies a different torque at the socket end. this is why it is harder to get a bolt off with a longer extension. this is especially so...

    A340E being a dinkus

well matt i can tell you that my 340 shifts the same. i would not risk running with a loose flexplate as it will eventually throw the engine out of balance when it breaks. there is probably nothing wrong with the tranny causing this. it is the flexplate and associated hardware
