OK so I got the head two days ago and they had to completly stripped the head to clean out the glass bead, fixed the broken phillip thread for the right side valve cover, add more helicoils, passed the pressure test, no warping, but I'm still a bit concern about the errosion around the water...

let's hope so! I really intend on using it to get my project started as I am just gathering new parts before the tear down.

That's what I was afraid...I'll be taking it to the machine shop and see what happens. Will update this post.

I just acquired this head..7MGTE with upgraded valve and springs...Now after I open the box, I inspected the head very very carefully and found this which caused me to question more about this unit before sending it to the machine shop for cleaning and resurface. Multiple grooves or cavitation...
