    Official emanage ultimate thread

I just made a wiring diagram for how I plan to graft my EMU into the supra wiring, including three add on gauges for EGT, Volts, and AFR, and aftermarket k-type egt probe, plus the Zeitronix Zt2 datalogging and wideband box. I have set it all up so that the unit is grafted in via modular...

    '87 Supra headlight problem

Test with the lights turned on. Voltage drop a cross the contacts with the light on should be the same as the good light. If it is lower then it is the contacts. The input voltage from battery positive to the to the positive for the bad light should be close to zero and same for the good...

Theoretical question: Could this set up go lean at WOT?

Is it possible for a modified 7M to go lean at WOT with 660cc injectors and Lexus AFM? Assuming the largest plate intercooler that will fit in the car, hard pipes, 3 " exhaust without cat, professionally ported head, ported exhaust manifold, and rebuilt stock turbo at 18 psi or so, fuel pressure...

    Article: What is Fuel Cut?

The HKS FCD for the MKIII is no longer being made! The Supra store and Horsepowerfreaks both said they have no source for it or for any other option to accomplish the same goal. S.O.L! So unless you can score a used one, is it correct to say that power gains even with a piggy back ECU are...

    Article: What is Fuel Cut?

    1) How does a wideband tune overcome fuel cut? I'm working with lexus afm, 650 RC injectors, all the other usual intake and exhaust flow options except I have stock manifold, refurbished stock turbo and throttle body. Have zeitronix wideband, E-manage ultimate not yet installed -researching...

Lots of White smoke only after boost? Ideas on what I can try? Tons of info inside!

What's your oil consumption? Turbo seals can go through a lot of oil, and suddenly get worse and run your sump dry faster than you would imagine. It doesn't look like as much as it is, because the oil doesn't combust, but turns into a mist that takes up much less volume and is less visible...

please help .. my heat issue is crazy

Does it overheat only in hot weather? That seems high for just casual driving. I'm wondering if something is malfunctioning or set incorrectly. There is a list of causes of overheating in the TSRM, just in case you haven't checked something obvious.

thanks for the food for thought, JJ

    code 52 **video inside** problem

Thanks Jon. Actually that's a more precise statement of what i meant. presumably 2 bit input, 4 levels. It is also clear that the ECU signals back to the MCU piston TDC timing, at least. Wading through the code was slow going after two years not looking at it, so I'm not clear on one thing...

    code 52 **video inside** problem

I also checked the ECU program code today, briefly. It seems that the knock sensor feeds into a separate control unit that receives info also from the ECU on when a cylinder is at TDC and returns info on Engine vibration in the form of good, bad or indifferent, but not as specific levels of...

    code 52 **video inside** problem

I found the info and updated myself. The ecu gets asignal from the ks that is a 7khz band pass filter of engine noise. It shows small amplitude ac signal for normal ignition, high amplutude for knock. If the signal is not recognizable you get a code 52. A short or ground will do it. But so...

    code 52 **video inside** problem

All grounds should be retaped and Reinstalled with a new bolt and dielectric grease. I would also want to verify that the knock sensors you put in actually work on a different supra. I recall something about a code 52 logic diagram. Ill hunt a bit. Sent from my DROID BIONIC using Tapatalk

    3P's TCCS Disassembly/Analysis

My point was that scaling pre-ECU with a frequency translating analog device will ensure that the range of values into the ecu take full advantage of the potential 16 bit resolution without overflowing the calculated value. If the afm has a higher output range than the ecu uses we could capture...

    3P's TCCS Disassembly/Analysis

I'm working on a hardware approach to this. I figure that for less than $50 in electronics parts and a few hours soldering I can make a board to step up or down the frequency of the AFM signal by converting it to a DC volt signal, trimming the level up or down, and then converting back to an FM...
