yea it deffinetly sounds like a boost leak. Check all visible couplers first ,then the one coming off the turbo.

I thought i was having a rod knock problem until i opeded the hood and noticed i have a missing manifold stud.

I was na/t and ran 15psi. The car was wicked im guessing aroung 350-400 hp. until the oil pump sucked and made a rod knock while running 7psi. Then i sent the rod through the block which destoyed everything. Its all fixed now with a gte motor , the horsepower difference is unbelieve. My na/t was...

i wouldnt reuse old rings. you will have better compression and there pretty cheap. You can buy new pistons and rings for like 150 on ebay. gl with the rebuild.
