So me and my buddy was driving the supra today and it was running/shifting great. Then after about 50 miles the transmission just stopped working. We did get on it at times. We were running 15lbs boost, and probably pushing 325hp. The car still runs fine and everything, but when you put it into...
The fan clutch was my problem....i have an 89 na and it overheated after 20minutes of driving too....you just have to take out 4 bolts and put another fan clutch in...i put a turbo fan in mine....fixed it perfectly...thats probably your problem...
The supra is now running....i had a vaccum leak in the intake hose...but i couldnt hear it....anyways...now my automatic transmission wont move...its stuck in park...and ive checked the connector underneath the passanger side glove box and its plugged in...ive unplugged it and plugged it back...
I have replaced the afm with another one out of a running car....it does the same exact thing...plugged in....dies......unplugged it idles but dont take gas....
I have also tested for fuel and its getting fuel....and i can also smell it....i can hear the fuel pump running and have taken off a line and there is plenty. thanks
So i drive my supra to work one day and it runs fine and everything...try and start it after work and it dont start. I unplug the mass air sensor and it will start but will only idle, if you give it gas it dies... I have tested cold start sensor, mass air sensor, ecu, and its giving me a code 24...
Supra wont start....it tries...and then dies right away unless i unplug the mass air flow sensor connector...then it will idle fine but cant give it any gas...any ideas to why this is happening ?
lol just thought it would be something someone might be interested in...and yes i was one of those campers at best buy....and im making an easy grand off of it so......!SUCK IT!
