Do you know how to test 3 wires? I found this, but i'm not sure i'm testing this correctly. I'm getting 11.xx Volts from wire #2 to ground... If i'm doing this correctly, then this is probably where my problem is. I'm just unsure about where to look to narrow down the source of the problem...
I'm having a similar problem and I think my engine is frying the alternators (1 old and 2 new) i'm installing... Is there a way to check proper functioning of the 3 wires in the plug that go into the alternator. Did OP ever fix his problem?
If you are following the TSRM, make sure you turn counterclockwise and clockwise when specified...
I had a FAIL experience because I would read counterclockwise as clockwise so I was always 180 degrees off... :P Drove me nuts lol...
Also do the CPS exactly as the TSRM says... :)
Are...
No, that's not possible...
When the cam gears were put back on, was the pin properly reinstalled into the middle hole? Important!!!
I know there's no Code 15... Maybe your ECU is toast... :( Hope not... But if you get an unexpected code, reset the ECU and try again...

You should be able to plug them in without taking it off, but it will be a pain in the ass...
Read the link and follow exactly as it says... http://www.cygnusx1.net/Supra/Library/TSRM/MK3/manual.aspx?S=IG&P=21
I don't have the 7mgte, I have the 7mge...
Based on the TSRM I don't believe you have to remove the intake manifold. I think it's just the power steering reservoir and a few...
My guess first off would be that you don't have spark or spark at the right time.
Step one: Check CPS. (This has always been my stupid downfall after rebuilds, only I have an 7MGE. <----------DO THIS FIRST

Step two...
Sorry about the wrong info... My bad... you're right...
IDK why I put an o-ring on my distributor but I took it off and it fixed everything...
The TSRM even says the replace the o-ring. So i replaced it with one from toyota... Oh well... Runs great now!!!
Thanks to all... :)

Like too much pressure? Or too little?
Also, by taking the EFI fuse out i will not get spark, so how would the extra fuel burn up? It may be pushed out by the exhaust, but not burned up.
Do you think it's a clogged/pinched that is causing this?
I have a distributor, but yes i checked it and set it up according to the TSRM.
If i had a ground problem to the coils wouldn't I not get spark and wouldn't i get no ignition at all?
