oh, nevermind, i was looking at the number on the firewall, the doorjam and all the papers say Ma71, does the firewall just say chassis code or something? I dunno I'm a noob. It is an original turbo. looks like new inside though, still has the crosshatching(?) on the cylinder walls.
Definitely not a factory turbo lol. Figured that out half way through last night, so many bolts that should have been completely seized came off no problem, some of the wiring you could tell was newer, and then the VIN was MA70, not 71. haha oh well.
Started tearing her down tonight. Huge props to Chris Seddon for helping me out and props to Steve for risking dirtying his good pants to help out too haha.
