Other than noise, any long term issues? Maybe a little more wear from excessive clearance?

Just finishing up my 1JZ swap (soarer) into the E30. It sounds like there is some valve train noise from the intake side of the engine, like a ticking valve. Doesn't go away with warmup. Anybody else have this problem or a solution? Oil level is fine, oil pressure is good.

I answered my own question. I made one up with a CNC plasma this AM as it is custom.

FYI - I confirmed the engine had a good working PCV valve (already was the newer style). I did replace it anyway with another 2J steel unit. Someone gave me the possible scenario that the engine was tipped on its side during removal, shipping or storage. This allowed oil to come up the...

Hopefully someone here can validate my theory so I can move on... When I was changing the water pump in my 1JZ swap (2jz water pump) I pulled the compressor outlet piping off the front CT12a turbo and found oil in the pipe. I found a little oil in the exhaust valve cover to intake piping...

I hate to spend money on a y-pipe/downpipe combo in case I upgrade in the future to single. Yeah, this is going into a BMW so I am not sure even buying an existing downpipe if it will work with my setup.

Thanks for all the help. I got all the wiring traced and sorted last night. I have one last question, then I'll quit asking. There is a 2 pin connector next to the igniter. It has a black/yellow which I traced to +12v. There is also a brown wire. What does the brown wire go to? ground...
