and here is a bit of clue for you. this a big forum with a lot of supra mk3 owners who know what they are talking about. so when i ask a legit question three times and get very little response it makes me think is it really that good. and if i can do the swap myself than it means i really dont...
i am positive cps is not 180 out. i looked up diagrams on this forum and it seems to be correct. with 180 out i could get all the adjustment i need but the car would run like crap.
attitude?? like i said it was third post. every time i explained the problem in detail and no attitude. i have tried every suggestion with no luck. this forum seems to have some advanced members so i don't understand why somebody cannot figure it out.
i need help. this is third post regarding same problem. recent jdm 7mgte swap. i only used block, head, fuel rail from jdm. i checked compression it was 155 on all six cylinders on cold engine!. got 90 psi on first crank. i have ignition timing issues. at correct camshaft positon sensor i...
if it is hard to start when cold it is most likely the cold start injector located in the bottom of intake manifold. i had issues starting cold but during replacing 7mgte with jdm i noticed this injector was plugged up. after swap and cleaning the injector problem was gone. heat soak is only...
just recently but set from the dealer. it cost me about $120 for all four. they will sell them individually. cable adjustment will work but it will sound like crap if you pull it while driving (metal on metal).
i would take the cover off and check for correct gap between rotor and pick up coils. if i am not mistaken it should be about .008 or so. you can look up the spec.
yes pins were bridged and the check engine light was blinking. i did notice that there was no difference with pins bridged and not bridged. any ideas about skipping to 5 deg adv at random.
i did try both original and jdm sensors with same result. also the part number matched on both. i did inspect all components of jdm engine and everything looked really good compared to my original engine so the crank pulley may not be the issue.
according to the link my cps is in correct position but this does not explain why i cannot adjust my timing to 10 deg adv. i did some machining to the sensor housing slot a i got it to 14 deg adv. also i still don't know why when timing light is connected it skips plus at random it will show 5...
does anybody have and idea of correct position of camshaft position sensor at top dead center ?. when timing is set to 10 deg adv engine runs like crap with a lot of hesitation. i used old sensor on jdm 7mgte and aligned it roughly the same as jdm sensor. i could not get proper adjustment at...
