I'm such a dumbass! the clamps don't fit these turbos. They are 89.2mm and the ct-12a turbine is ~78mm or 3". They must be for ct12-b's or c's or something... edit: The description gave no indication it wouldn't work with 1JZ turbos, but they're definitely way too big... I'm going to see about...

I bought two new turbine clamps, the type on the right. My OEM ones had pitted bolts from rusting, so I think I trust a new aftermarket one a little more.

    Latecomer to holset mafia

restrictors reduce the pressure seen by the seals, by limiting the flow into the turbo. they are necessary, especially for ball bearing types which are supposed to have less oil than journal types. if the turbo sees too much oil pressure from the feed, it will start blowing oil into your motor...

    How do I clock a ct-12?

It was tough to bolt down the front charge pipe to the turbo because its tugging up on the hose in the middle

    How do I clock a ct-12?

I finally installed these rebuilt/upgraded ct12s I got from driftmotion and the intake pipes (and more noticably the hot pipes) don't line up very well. one of the turbos compressor housings must be about 3-5 degrees out of rotation. I pulled the snap ring off the front turbo in hopes that...

in your opinion what is the best light option?? different than the stocks

Of those choices I like option 1 the best. Have you considered a mix of option 1 and option 3? I never liked the idea of putting low beams in a flush mount in the stock location because of how much bumper is in the way... But for a high beam the flush mount would be fine. for a low beam I...

    - I put in a new-style PCV valve and grommet. - I fixed the leaky hose on the exhaust side going from the valve cover to the inlet pipe, as well as the little hose that bridges the two valve covers. - I fixed a leaky hose for the front turbo oil return by bending the return pipe a little and...

With CF pipes you can epoxy a thin strip of plastic or something around the end to create your own bead.

transmission is back on, those hard to find clutch inspection hole covers for the bellhousing are ordered, and I made some progress with the IC piping. I finished welding a vband onto the hotside merge pipe, then had a pro welder I know do the w2a IC cores because I suck. :) His welds. Mine:
