today im driving to my moms house from my house all of a sudden i smell gas but i didnt really pay much attention to it 2 minutes later car is running really rich like the injectors are on 100% duty cycle and smoking really bad. but then i was thinking about it if i smelt the gas before the car...

i think its the temp sensor because my car is doing the same thing and it threw a water temp sensor code. going to change it soon when i stop being lazy btw is the temp sensor on the 7m the same as the 1jz.

i dont know if it affects performance, when it happened to me i stayed out of the boost especially because the turbo was howling loudly. if the turbo is howling then the turbo is already dead if not then yes the turbo is deffinetely on its way out. sucks hope u get it fixed soon good luck.

deffinetly turbo seals if the smoke is white. happened to me when i blew my turbo every stop light thick white smoke and only when warm at idle i used to stop at stop lights and bring the engine up to 1500-2000 rpm so it wouldnt smoke.
