Maybe you did. The car was in houston till I bought it. The guy I bought it from was the second owner, but its always been registered there.
I still cant figure out what that is. Its not for the stereo. Its spliced into alot of wires at the fuse box so I'm thinking its either something...
Yeah they claimed that the car was running like crap when it went in, but I had someone tell me the day before I took it there that they have never seen a supra idle and run as steady as mine was. I found the ic pipe from the turbo to the intercooler almost split all the way through. It was...
I changed the water pump and burped the system. I drove it around for alot longer than it took before to overheat and the car ran fine. I am going to find out tommorrow if it is still blowing coolant out of the overflow. The car was doing that before and it wasnt overheating.
my car is having the same problem coolant coming out of overflow, and the fan clutch was deffinitely bad. I changed it, but its still doing the same thing. I'm going to change the waterpump too. Could that be whats wrong?
I checked the ic hoses and they all looked good. they are all on and tight and i didnt see any breaks. they car won't even stay running now unless you give it gas. after the car shuts off you can still hear airflow though.
this is a picture of it. all the wires are spliced in so it doesnt look factory. Is it for an alarm? If it is why would it be clicking constantly and the led coming on and off when I drive.
My car is running like crap and has been since I got it from the shop. when I drove it home it was not wanting to stay running, and the turbo was spooling up alot sooner than it should. I had to move the pedal up and down to get it to run down the road. If I stayed on the gas, it acted like...
yeah its pluged in, but the guy that had the car before me spliced into the wires at the MAF sensor and put something on it. Its a little black box. I'm guessing it has a resistor in there to make it think the air is cooler, but I havent opened it up to look.
Well I thought I had my car fixed finally. I got the subframe and was having it changed, but the frame of the car was pushed in an inch so I had to take it to a frame shop and they said they spent all day on it trying to pull it out, and it broke one of their new come alongs. The good thing...
I'm gonna check those out. Maybe something came loose when they were pulling the frame. The guys at the shop are telling me that they think the MAF or O2 sensor is bad. They are just saying that on how its running they haven't really looked at it yet.
so a boost leak will make the car run horrible at idle and make the turbo rev when you are parked? the only time it smooths out is if you go WOT. other than that it just wants to sputter. Its not even drivable like it is.
they had to pull the frame a little, but the guys at the shop said it was running like that the first time they started it. It never ran like that for me though.
also my turbo is spooling up when you give it a little gas when the car is sitting there. I don't think it was doing that before. Could it be a boost leak? The wierd thing is that at full throttle its fine.
