It's about time you got back in the game Armando....The MR2 game that is! You know this will make like 10 of them you have owned. The Supra needs your love too you know.
Sorry the car went BOOM on you. I guess that triple A crack I made in your other thread was not quite so funny since the next day you were calling me for my member number.
2JZ.....you just could not let me have the faster car could you? At least I'll get to drive it.....hell it will...
This coming from a man who told me "they're always fastest just before they die!" wth a long and storied history of blown motors to prove it. If you get that car running right I give it 2 months before you are trying to convince AAA you are me so you can get the car towed for free. :biglaugh:
Look'n good, get that fuel cut fixed and that new turbo on there so we can see how she fares against the All-Trac (by the time I get it back your car should be fully built at the rate it's currently going).
He makes them as doubles too and I think even triples but they look really busy with 3 gauges, his doubles are nice and he paints them to match the color and texture of the original which is a real plus.
Here is a little more of this work that he did for two of my Celicas, this shows the 5th...
Robb does not have a website, I sent him an email and asked if he wanted his info given out to those who might be interested. He hand builds those gauge pods when he is in between jobs around the shop so it's almost like filler work for him so he gets them done in no time sometimes and other...
You and your titanium fetish....Guess I'm just jealous. :icon_bigg You really want to impress people put the other 3 snowtires from the Lexus on there to complete the early 60's GM look.
Talked to Robb last night and he might be driving my All-Trac down from Iowa so let me know if I can...
I'll be there not too sure what I'll be driving though....might be the IS300 unless Robb gets the All-Trac done.
I am sure Armando will be there too in the MA70.
Yep; It uses a slip joint, it actually seals pretty well, there is slight exhaust leak at start up but after it gets warm it all seals up. Swain is the only place I send my parts for thermal coatings.
Yep; Armando mentioned it and if he is going I will likely be there...probably driving the support vehicle (the one with all the tools, jack, flashlights and other crap you need when you are driving a long way in car of questionable reliability). You certainly don't have to twist my arm to go...
Alright; a support group for irresponsible automotive spending! I knew I came to the right place.
Looks like you have already implemented that plan of yours too....I like the picture of your car in front of my house in your avatar. :bigthumb:
Yep, I am surprised you foregave me for that ST165 experience! When the black car needs to come home I'll be sure to give you a call (I'm sure I'll have to do a lot of arm twisting to get you behind the wheel of it again).
GT35R; I have a lot more I want to do to the car, it needs a real...
They are great cars to build and it's amazing how well they handle power and the gearboxes are about as close to bullet proof as you can get (compared to Evos and WRX's at least) but it's a double edged sword....no one makes parts for them unless it will work on an MR2 as well and they are just...
Yep, I like his car....it needs work but he is trying to do stuff right and not get in a hurry. Hopefully in the next couple of years I can find me a Supra to play with a little bit.
I think part of my problem is I am having boost withdrawl, my black Celica is in Iowa for some rust repair...
