it could be anything mine makes a noise after 4k but its because of my belt tensioner.........there for the possibilties are endless if you got someway to actually talk to the guy tell him to be more specific on this

check for any holes in your intake pipeing you could be getting alot of unmeasured air into your system that your afm isnt reading happend to me could be the same in your situation

my wife got a 1990 toyota camrey with the 2vz-fe V6 engine non-all-trac model and its giveing me codes 12-R.P.M. signal 42-Vehicle speed signal 71-Exhaust gas recirculation sensor signal i want to fix it myself but dont know where to start any ideas on what can be letting these signals...

check your wireing to your battery that the terminal posts are snug this was happening to me a couple days ago just undid the terminals and tightened them again and she was good as new or..... shooting out in to the park could be your starter?..... also check your cap a rotor basic maintance...
