To apply sealent or not to apply, that is the question. Mitchell on Demand suggests a sealent in the photograph. Please see Image 1.

We have torqued the head down already and didn't use sealant, and didn't...
Alright, I have located the ISC. The dealer wants about 500 bones for this mammarjammer. PN 22270-42010. You said something about bypassing it? I disconnected the coolant lines from it and she would not start. I would appreciate any more tips you might have!

I appreciate your post! I'll take a look and see if I can figure out a way to bypass or locate the source of the coolant leak now. Many thanks, I'll let you know what I come up with.

Hello all,
I beseech you all again for information on my 7MGE 1987 Supra. She's been running great, like a top, until recently. She has been a little rough when I drive here lately and the exhaust has been smelling fairly nasty lately.
I first noticed problems when I kept having to add...
I had a very similar problem with my 87. The guy who did the brakes for me didn't put the two retaining clips, strange shaped metal pieces that fit inbeween the brake pads and the rotor, nor did he attach the two tension springs (funny wishbone shaped spring that fits into the holes at the top...
Greets all--
I have nearly twenty year old aluminum (I think) rims on this Supra and they are stained by brake dust. What is the most effective method for removing the stain? Also, I've been considering painting the stock rims black. Any thoughts or suggestions on paint brands? Is it...

I would like to know if the knock sensors for the turbo (7MGTE) are the same knock sensors for the non-turbo 7MGE engine? I found a great price on ebay for one, $20! Beats the hell out of the dealer price.
Perhaps those of you with knowledge of the parts in question could...
I can't make an educated guess on that either way, hopefully some of the gear heads here can answer that.
The only other thing I can think of would be to ensure that the main brake fluid reservoir is full as well as the secondary reservoir. Check the calipers and lines for leaks if any of...
I just serviced my brakes and it went mostly as usual save for the fact that they last guy that owned the car didn't believe in proper lubrication. There is a bolt that the caliper slids on and if it's hasn't been lubricated you'll play hell lining up the caliper on the rotor currently. Even...
How do the pads look? Do you have the two retaining clips installed and the two pad springs in place? Do your brakes vibrate at all when you try to stop?
Give us a little more info!

An update from yours truley:
As it turns out, the entire problem stemmed from a) It being 40F outside, and b) 40mph wind gusts.. do NOT attempt to work on your vehicle in horrible weather conditions -- it's just not worth it.
Basically, it was an ID 10 T error on my part. I had a one...
