Sounds like you have done this already. I can't seem to find someone who has done the 2jz-gte VVti swap into an mk3.. So let me ask you this..
Providing that I have the complete engine, Ecu Harness etc. I should be pretty much good to go.. All I would need to do essentially is swap out my...
Has anyone removed their drive by wire throttle body on say a 2jz-gte VVTi and placing a simple cable throttle body retaining the use of their stock ECU with no problems?
Reason.. MKIII VVTi swap 2jz. Would rather avoid the complication all together and simply use a throttle cable instead...
These are some pics of a 1jz piston.. do they look like normal 1jz pistons to you guys? Also can anyone provide me with the maximum clearance of the crankshaft in mm or in. I don't have the facilities to grind down the crank shaft where I live.. soo.. need to know if I should rebuild this...
Yes.. someone swapped it out in the past. Thats why I wanted to open it. I saw the thread on the Tag codes and stuff. Good info. but i have that same count. 9 on the pinion and 41 on the ring gear. Non LSD
It's not there.. I looked.. well i did see a 2.. not sure if they had 2 ratio's... but nothing like the common 3.XX or 4.XX. according to the other methods.. the counting pinions and ring gear and the counting the spin of the pinion to the complete turn of the ring gear are consistent.
Is light weight flywheels really better than the heavier stock flywheels?
While it would be great for the take of, what about higher speeds. Wouldn't the heavier flywheels have a greater rotational mass, hence improve top speeds?
Doesn't the heavier flywheels balance of the crank shaft...
Ok...... Facts and Nonfactual. I pulled out my Diff.. And here are the results.. The counting the pinion and ring gear. Fact. Counting the number of turns on the pinion for the complete turn of the ring gear FACT!.. Good stuff.
The ratio being engraved on the ring gear.. not to sure bout that...
Also.. was wondering, did all turbo charged MKIII supra's come with a LSD diff? If yes that would mean there was different ratio LSD diff's and not all LSD's would be 3.73? Seeing besiding the R154, the 1G-GTE had a W58, and the automatics is a different gear box. Would there be different Ratio...
Thanks a million. Is there any damage that I could do to the differential by opening it? I'll try posing pictures for future persons searching this same exact thing.
