did you ever leave your oil cap off and forget to put it back on? I've seen that happen before and the oil sprays up onto the hood blanket and drips down in weird places.

hmm so thats my only way around this problem? well i'll start looking into EBC's than and see what i come up with.

Its a kinetic motorsport mbc. Made by a local high performace/ tuning shop. I've got a 60-1 trim ct 26, 2.5 hardpipes with good connectors and t-bolt clamps, full 3" straight thru exhaust. and then a bunch of other fuel mods. I think its the mbc, as it just happened after i installed it...

So i just installed my turbo after sending it back under warranty for a smoking problem, and I decided to install a MBC at the same time. Now when the turbo first spools up it spikes to about 14 psi then drops down to 10. this all happens fairly quickly and around 3500 rpm just as im reaching...

I bet your running too rich. I have the exact same fuel setup and when i was untuned on the safc it would run extremely rich and start sputtering especially at higher rpms (5k+). Since I tuned it it pulls strong all the way to redline.

i had 4 washers in mine, and i only hit 9 psi, so i guess every car is different.

not to thread jack here, but i just installed 2.5" ic piping and aftermarket IC, and i went from 8 psi down to about 5. is this just because of the larger ic and piping?

The air filter on an 89 honda prelude is a cone type paper filter. 3" inlet too i believe.

I had a bunch of spare alternator bolts (the really long upper bolt), and those worked really good.

I'm reaching full boost before 5k rpm. Usually around 3k rpm i'm at 6psi boost, and it stays consistent. I've got new ngk platinums gapped at .032". plug wires are original. And I did notice some oil around the spark plug boot when I pulled wire. Its probably time for new wires, and solve...

Ok, I've got a 7mgte swapped into my 84 supra, and for some reason at ~5k rpm it starts missing like crazy in any gear. I cant see anything wrong just by looking around the engine compartment, although i have a feeling it might be a boost leak. Some of my IC pipes have small cracks in them...

Does anyone know what the part number is for the lexus afm that will work on our cars? I'm about to buy one but I need to make sure it will work for my car. So If someone could post up they're part number that would be great. thx.
