Well ray, the 4l80e experience has been quite an adventure. The transmission shifts similarly to a GTR thanks to the custom valvebody built by my GENIUS trans guy Kenneth, that I mentioned in my thread. We're talking near instant shifts!! The car is far quicker at speeds under 120 builds boost...

ha! Ala supra stick! As far as costs go, I don't keep track as it's my hobby and passion. But I WILL mention that I didn't spend 8k, which is what the notable Mk4 option costs. I will also mention that it was cheaper than a proper V-160 swap, and cheaper than some TH400 options for the Mk3...

Beals- Is that a good thing or bad thing? hah! IJ. - Almost every vital component of this particular 4l80e has been upgraded, lightened, and "rollerized." After speaking with my transmission builder, we decided it should be fine at my modest rev limit of 7200. Also, notable individuals have...

Here's how the tunnel looked after completion.: Cooler lines converter to -6AN fittings with 90 degree fittings attached: Final assembly: Temperature fitting installed in the pressure port for now: She's in!: All cleaned up and ready to go!! It's so easy to shift this guy can do it...

Mockup location used: Here is another tight spot where the cooler lines exit the transmission. The rear exit wasn't so bad as it just needed a few pounds, but the front need quite a bit. Front shown: More tunnel shots: Same passenger side after a little massaging... much closer.: and...
