Well ray, the 4l80e experience has been quite an adventure. The transmission shifts similarly to a GTR thanks to the custom valvebody built by my GENIUS trans guy Kenneth, that I mentioned in my thread. We're talking near instant shifts!! The car is far quicker at speeds under 120 builds boost...

ha! Ala supra stick! As far as costs go, I don't keep track as it's my hobby and passion. But I WILL mention that I didn't spend 8k, which is what the notable Mk4 option costs. I will also mention that it was cheaper than a proper V-160 swap, and cheaper than some TH400 options for the Mk3...
This is where the trans mount is tied in to. I put a picture in the thread that showed my first iteration of a mount which I welded into the rails pointed out above.

Here is another tight spot where the cooler lines exit the transmission. The rear exit wasn't so bad as it just needed a few pounds, but the front need quite a bit. Front shown:
