I have a stock CT26 that I just had rebuilt by someone that knew what they were doing. New seals, all that good stuff. I only drove it for about 1000 miles after that when the head went. I bought new turbo, new engine build... you get the idea. In any case, I have a stock rebuilt turbo sitting...
Um, is it the plug that goes into your glove box light? There's a little plug I remember down there that plugs into the glove box. That looks like it. Damn if only I'd had pictures. I was just re-wiring my knock sensor wiring, and had my ECU and glove box out.
One thing I noticed, You have two very thick brown insulated wires. Those are your knock sensor wires. You need to replace those with very good insulated wiring. I'll have pictures of the wires I used to do that with. Basically, I used thinner RCA cable, double insulated. It was a crazy...
Well it really doesn't seem to look that bad from the pictures. I've seen worse. If you have some time, I would do this. One at a time, peal the tape off the wires, trim out the bad parts, and solder in a new wire section. It might be your cheapest option. Not the best... but cheapest. I know...
I'll send you a PDF of it as kind of a guidline if you'd like. PM me your email address or something, and you'll get an easier-to-read copy. It will just kind of show you what I did to get that type of HP out of the 7M-GTE. And it's reliable.
Just to give you an idea of what I did for over 400HP, and how much it costs, here's my spec sheet from the engine builder. This is what I had done to my 7M-GTE.
And maybe this will help ya out. Here's what I did! I asked myself these questions; What will I be using this car for? Every day driver or weekend warrior? Maybe a track car? I wanted my car to be an everyday driver if needed. Ok that means reliability. How fast do I think I want to go? Um, I...
If you're running up to 25lbs of boost, you'll want a compression of about 8.25:1, if you're running 12lbs, you'll want a higher compression or your car will be a dog on the lower RPM range. Going from 12lbs to 25lbs is a very large difference. I'm not saying it can't be done, but engines have...
I have some pictures if the location of that run. It just so happens I took a lot of pictures of my Supra build. So I got that line in a couple pictures. It will help you out possibly.
Looking at a mild stroker kit, 8.6 lift 264dur cams, (Thank you Suprarich) custom pistons and completely ballanced motor, along with a JT-62 Turbo from Jeff (thank you Jeff, it was great talking with you). Also a good intercooler which I found on this site as well. Thank you all for good...
I'm going 1mm on my valves, along with all the other head work. I heard that was a good size, and I'm looking to get around 400 flywheel HP. I am looking for a good Cam, spring and valve combo if anyone has had something work really well for them.
Well I'm ready to buy the turbo, or kit. This is the info I need. I just need to know who to call and talk to to order. Like I said, my motor is in the shop, getting worked on. I want a car for this summer;-)
Just need to know who to contact to buy.
Yes, you're right Johnathan, I should be able to. But that's pushing the CT-26. Remember, I already have the CT-26 sold when my other turbo comes in. Also, it would cost me quite a lot to rebuild and redo the CT-26, and ballance it. *shrug* I guess I want a new turbo... :naughty: oooo, shiny...
