I've just ordered the stock ones for now, as i have a dealership just 2 mins away, but i wanted to check them against something, just incase they supply me the wrong ones. (it's happened before)
Before being a member here, i wouldn't have thought twice about re-using the old bolts! God bless...
sorry to add yet another flywheel bolt thread,
(i think i've pretty much read them all now)
but could someone who's 110% sure, please answer?
is this a 7M-GTE- R154 flywheel bolt, or an auto flexplate bolt?
thanks.
Kotu100: any pics of the plug? i think my machinist must have removed and lost it, or would anything do the job?
and martin, i used to be,
i'm just on here more for the maft-pro info.
tho i do keep meaning to re-join.
I know, that's what's confusing me.
It's definately come from there, as it's the same drilling as the flywheel.
ie, it only goes on one way.
i'm wondering if the previous owner had it made, to allow for metal being milled off or something, because surely Toyota wouldn't leave it off...
no, it's a manual, R154.
the marks on it suggest it goes between the flywheel and crank, but i'd like confirmation.
it is a UK car, but i can't see there being a difference.
Hi all,
I just got my engine back after a full rebuild, but it's so long since i removed everything from it, i've forgotten where it all bolts!
so far i have 2 questions,
(but i'll probably be adding more as i go.)
(and i'll only ask stuff i can't find by searching, obviously.)
1)...
Well, just to add a bit of closure to my story, i've stuck another pulley wheel on, (using the original bolt, which torqued back up just fine) a new belt, and everything is back to normal. (oil pressure is stil good too).
I'm just putting it down to the 100,000+ miles of stress.
That idea did cross my mind, but it sounded too easy:icon_bigg
Can anyone verify if this will work? I think it should, but i'm usually wrong with these things.
NDBoost: Youve just settled my nerves alot. Thanks.
werewolves: that's a mighty kind offer, but i've already got another one........ thanks.
I've also got a spare motor, which i was going to rebuild over the next year or so, i'm just hoping nothing else got damaged so i can keep this car on the road till the other motor's ready.
Is it...
As you can see in one pic, there's half a tooth missing from the big piece, but from the very firs pic in post 1, it looks to me like the tooth might have smashed off when it all reached the bottom of the case.
IJ: if it wasn't my car, i'd have been asking the same question:naughty:
