Howdy guys, Car has a phantom ignition problem I have no spark and my car obviously wont start. Code is 12 no rpm signal. Tried 2 different CPS's and still nothing. Traced wires and have good connectivity to ecu. Tried different Ecu and nothing. Any ideas?

I have no spark, I am throwing a code 12 and the car turns over but dosent start. Car did this once before and I moved the cps wires around and it started fine. Replaced about 2 feet of the wiring to the cps and car ran the best its ever run. I made a sweaping right hand turn the next day and...

Try moving the harness around a lot by the ignitor and also the cps and try to start it again. Try that a few times. I replaced a bad ignitor a while ago and when it started I decided to try the old one...and it worked also. So it could be a wiring or connection thing

I think VNT is around 15 year old Tech that never cought on. To complex and the company that was making them folded. But I think it ended up in Porche 997s.....That were outperformed by conventional turbos in similar setups....GTR.

Thanks for the info I passed it on to the guy working on the car for me. He said something was off with the shims on the car. He changed somthing and was able to get less than 5% leak down from the 90% it was at before. So things are looking up he said he has to source some new shims and looks...

leakdown shows leaking from intake valves seems really odd. 85 % leaking

Do you think that would be somthing that would develop over time?, The car did not miss there first 20k miles I had it. That was about 3k after the motor was built.
