I have no problem DD my supra... 130 mile round trip a day... 27ish mpg. A hell of alot better than my grand cherokee. I might get another DD when i get heavier on the mods

Well got it fixed. No more CEL!!! I switched back to the round knock sensors and fixed the problem.

yeah the bulb is good. It works every once in a while thats why i thought it might be a wiring issue. Ill dig out the swith sometime this week and hopfully see whats up

Im trying to see if anyone has had the same problem. My left turn signal works but not the right. Trying to save some time before i go chasing wires!! Thanks

I took the car to an electrical master and the verdict is the knock sensors that i got, which are brand new, are giving the ECU the wrong resistance back which in turn is causing the code. So i ordered some OEM round plug sensors again just need to get the round plug clips again. I get to pick...

Well... rewire went off without a hitch but still didnt fix the code. Im taking it to a shop tomorrow. If i had more time i would diagnose more but i need it done asap. Gas is killing me with the timing being pulled. I will let yall know what the verdict is. I tried multiple grounding points...

Hmm... I guess a another rewire is in store since they are new sensors... Off to radio shack for some better wire

yes i used shielded wire... i just used some that i had (coaxle type) and yes i did ground one side of each wire on the ecu side.

I am a new member and a 1st time supra owner! I bought my 89 7mgte last week with the knock sensor code. I have rewired them and put new sensors in. The new sensors i got were the square plug sensors. First questions is: Does it make a differance between the round and square plug sensors...
