The guage wires are all fed to clips that in turn plug into the back of the cluster. And since it obviously moves the needle, I would say the wire isnt severed from the clip. So its prolly something else. The stock guage is only good to 8lbs. And if your like everyone else on these forums...

without getting all Bill Nye the Science Guy on you....roughly 13psi on your setup. Sometimes its easier to just answer a question. Speaking from experience, when my car only had a full exhaust, k&n air filter at 13psi BANG full cut.
