Are you sure with the oil level light / sensor?
The later euro MA70s (from end 90s up) all have an oil level sensor with a warning light in the dash.
I am extremely sure on that because my second supra (92) has the sensor and light.
Just curious if all of the U.S spec MA70 are without the...
Except the accordian pipe.
Every single other pipe (after afm) will cause a lean condition (in idle, as written above), yes.
Under boost you will get a rich condition.
Accordian pipe is somewhat special as there is a vacuum evertime the engine is running.
That´s the reason why our head...
High or Low Imp?
There are two types of RX7 injectors as far as I remember.
I am thinking of other pipes like the one directly after the turbo or the one that connects 3000 pipe with the throttle body (as both of them are very common in failing and cracking).
With stock AFM and 550s it...
Did you remove the camshafts?
With removed shafts there is enough space to get the nuts and washers in place.
But its a little bit tricky to tighten it, because there is really not much space for the tools.
I have grinded a bit off of the tool for better fitment.
EDIT: have you tightened the...
Hi everyone.
Thanks for the answers so far.
Shot 2 pics to make the problem visible:
This is the swiss EU-Spec rear (actually my car), it should be identical to the pre-facelift U.S ones:
pay attention to the license plate section and the lock section.
Next pic is a...
Hi everyone,
guess you guys "over the pond" can help me much quicker then the EU supra guys :)
I need a picture from the tail light center of a 89+ Supra, but not from the front -> I need the rear view of it (especially the place where the lock is located and how it is mounted on the...
You can verify the rings with a little bit of engine oil into every cylinder.
It will seal the rings better if they are worn.
With conspicious better results, it should be the rings.
Valstem seals won´t affect compression in any way, as they are not in the combustion chamber.
Have you...
From personal experience: stock pump is good for all up to 1,2bar on CT26.
Drove this several years and even on the Autobahn on top speed it wasn´t lean.
Of course I did use a fuel computer (F-Con and EVC for boost at that time) and an FCD to get there.
Stock turbo could hold pressure on 1bar...
A lot of Porsches are trying to get it on if they spot my car, guess its from the big exhaust pipe which make they think "ricer".
Unfotunately (for them) the exhaust is not the only mod :D
Especially those big Cayenne Turbo can´t really believe whats happening if we get it on.
It is really...
Funny to read, how different the opinions are on the stock brakes.
Stock is definatly not up to the task with the speeds you can drive here in Germany.
You can drive all day long 180 - 200 kph (around 120mph) and on traffic free parts easily 260-280 kph (around 170 mph).
Even ONE hard brake...
The first part of your VIN is correct.
All my Supras start with JT1LBMA7000XXXXXX (the x are for the chassis numbers).
In the Toyota EPC you can get the "basics" of your car (for example if it was originally delivered as automatic or with manual transmission and so on).
I just tried...
The set is for sale since a year or so over here in Europe.
There are two sets, one is only the two big radiator hoses and the other set are all the small hoses around the head.
A problem was, that the small hose set is made for a RHD Supra, so the heater hoses won´t fit as they should...
We are going off topic a little bit but it`s an interesting point to discuss in my opinion.
- the point that the cooled oil goes to the pan doesn`t make a difference if your oil is cool enough. It´s a circuit and it makes no difference if the cooled oil goes directly into the engine or first...
