My EGR has been long disposed and vacuum lines have been plugged. It's just 8 12 mm bolts to remove but I don't have little girl hands lol. Looks like I might have to take the throttle body and valve covers off.. must be another way.

[/COLOR] I have the small blocker plate for the back where the egr cooler.. which would eliminate the need to block the one on the side. Any advice on removing that egr cooler... pretty tight fit even with a small 12 open wrench.[COLOR="Silver"] .

So I gave it a try and tried removing the cooler plate...ended up with bruised knuckles...any tips or particular tools you think would assist in removing the egr cooler? pretty tight fit...

lol no i did not remove the cooler plate... he did give me two blockers. im guessing the other one would be for the back to replace the cooler... So you're saying if I block the hole in the back behind the cooler.. i won't have to worry about the intake side? 2 birds with one stone type of thing...

yeah it's possible.. the EGR gasket is the same for both ge/gte so might've given me something else.. so close though...

i just put an EGR blocker but it didn't fit.. it was a bit too short...

A buddy of mine gave me his EGR block off plates but when I went to put the one on the side on it was just a bit too short.. by like 2-3mm. Is there a difference in size between a ge and gte? didn't think these was but couldn't find much online...

do u have the drivers window master switch? 89+? with the lights on the switches?

Well I don't think its simply a hole because I put my thumb over it when it's idling and it gets substantially quieter..So a JDM ECU would be needed since there's no EGR? ok. Makes sense I suppose. Thanks for the input!

thought the stock usd ecu would be fine..and the plate on the side is needed because it covers the hole where the egr would go. I started the car and it sounds really loud, like an exhaust leak.
