What's IGf?
I thought the same thing about the ignitor, but the guy was clear (although I don't know his expertise).
I know we typically think the ignitor goes bad - car goes dead, but there may be transitions or side effects that indicate that it may be going bad. Electrical is not my...
My list was just to show what research had pointed to for possibles.
At an informal local Toyota meet, a guy mentioned that he had experienced a similar problem and even though it would start it wouldn't run. Swapped out the ignitor and all OK. So it seems the ignitor can...
I'm saying that there is spark and fuel flowing but no running unless we spray starting fluid through a vacuum opening into the manifold.
What do you mean "injectors are in fact pulsing"????
5MGTE fuel injector non-pulse issue
TSRM FI-29 FI-41
Starts/runs with starting fluid
fuel pump pumping

This is what my research has found.
Is there anything else to check for non-pulsing injectors?

Yes, it is safe to assume that and no, it doesn't matter which pin goes where (solenoids used in this car aren't polarized) although you ought to pin it per the manual if for no other reason than to keep the documentation correct... “

Trying to identify a wiring connector that broke from the harness when replacing the ISC to Block coolant hose.
Car still seemed to run OK with the disconnect though I have a code 42.
Early 89 7mgte harness (86-88) and could be a CA model. The connector plugs into an outlet underneath the...
Be alert to early 89 builds. I had an 89 model donor car and found that it was mostly 88. 88 HAC sensor is an addon while true 89 HAC sensors are part of the ECU. The 90 TSRM diagnostic codes did not distinguish this but an 87 TSRM code would.

Had a code 62 with an OD light blink, changed solenoids but didn’t clear the code. OD light still blinks.
Tried to read a code by wire shorting the E1 and ECT (Tt) outlets in the diag box, no response...
Great Removal tool = BASIN WRENCH
= an adjustable crowfoot
This is a plumber's tool that I must have seen used as I remembered it and asked a plumber when I had the problem currently. Couldn't get an easy read on the FPD bolt size, couldn't find a reasonable priced adjustable crowfoot, was left...
See this reference for various connectors on the sumitomo section in the above website which has some very good DIY instruction pages
"Fits wires from .5mm - 1.25mm (22 - 16 AWG)"
Do you know the size of our coil pack harness wires?
Are these pins interchangeable with the stock pins?
My...
Been seeing an apparent coil pack wire to harness connector issue that shows itself with a slight miss in warm restarts after parking for periods of time. I find that moving the connector a bit relieves it. I was led to this after an afterfire symptom (blown out muffler) led to a no start status...
Is it OK to use butt connectors to connect the cps wires to the harness wires. Soldering would be better but it has been 50yrs since I last held a soldering iron.
